Sevilla HOA Annual Meeting & Election – Part 2

On Wednesday, October 4th, the Annual Meeting and Election was reconvened with 48 ballots collected enough to count the ballots. Board Members were introduced, Board Candidates were introduced, the Inspector of Elections was introduced, the ballots were counted, and the results announced. The Board has 15 days to notify the HOA membership the results of the election.  The approval of minutes for the Annual Meeting held on April 19, 2022 was the last agenda item discussed. Carolyn Brothers read the minutes that she most likely wrote. A vote was taken by the membership present. It appeared that the minutes were approved by the membership present 4-1.

Why did I vote no? Because the minutes did not reflect what took place on April 19, 2022 (See Blog on Inaccurate Minutes From April 19, 2022 Annual Meeting and Election).

After the Annual meeting was adjourned, the organizational meeting was held with four board directors. Instead of nominations and voting to approve directors for each position of President, VP, Treasurer, and Secretary, it appeared to me that Carolyn Brothers was suggesting to each director what position they would hold. Since Mr. Werling was not present, he could not participate.
