Civil Rights Violations Within HOAs
When a homeowners association turns a blind eye to investigate civil rights violations within the community, protected parties may file claims with the California Civil Rights Department. It is not alright for the Board of Directors, Property Management Company, and Attorneys for an Association to blow off reports of blatant harassment and discrimination of protected parties and not do anything. What constitutes an investigation? Did the Association exercise due diligence in determining the facts and conduct interviews with all parties? Are civil rights violations occurring here in the Sevilla community? Has a Civil Rights Complaint been filed with the California Civil Rights Department. Let’s wait and see.
