Notices and Agendas

Why is it so difficult for the Sevilla Board of Directors to communicate with the homeowners who live in this community?

One of the most basic tasks for the Board is to notify homeowners of monthly board meetings and the agendas for both the General Session which homeowners can participate and observe and the Executive Session which provides an outline of what is to be discussed behind closed doors.

The minimum agenda posting requirement is at the Sevilla Pool Bulletin Board. It appears that The Board of Directors have continued to post their meeting agendas in that manner since the HOA was formed back in 1989. There have been some rare occasions where other notices have been emailed, mailed, or posted on the homeowner portal.

Does this process work for all homeowners today? It certainly does not. Over the past year, there have been random board meetings and constant changes in meeting locations, dates, and times. Why are homeowners forced to walk up to the pool area on a daily basis to check the Bulletin Board for board meeting agendas? If you are a homeowner who lives away from the community, how do you keep informed? Why make it difficult for those elder members of the community and those who are disabled to obtain information regarding board meetings and the community.  There has been no effort to post board meeting agendas on the Sevilla Homeowners Portal for easy access to information. There has been no effort to email board meeting agendas to homeowners. Why not? Does the current Board of Directors care about transparency and your rights as a member of the HOA???
