Landscaping or Street Slurry! Which is the priority?

A notice was emailed to many homeowners regarding the commencement of slurry seal work on our streets beginning tomorrow Thursday September 20th.  Homeowners ask if this is really necessary at this time given the expense. Homeowners also question the lack of consistent landscaping. Why does it take our present landscape company so long to trim overgrown bushes and shrubs. Bushes and shrubs grow out of control for over a month at a time. Bushes and shrubs crawl up walls within the community.  Who has oversight of the landscaping within the Sevilla community? Of course it is the Board of Directors. Are the aesthetics of the community important to the current Board of Directors? Yes according to the following statement emailed to homeowners:  “In an effort to maintain the aesthetics of the community, we will be slurry sealing the streets throughout the community.” But what about landscaping?
